I hate Edward Cullen. I hated him when I read the books. The whining, controlling, passive-aggressive tendencies get old real fast. And Jacob was awesome, and then she made him whiny too. Epic fail.

Not that the books were meant to be works of art. They were stuff and fluff, and mildly entertaining to read in the same way the sitcoms are fun to watch. Basically a mechanism for letting your brain melt. I'm glad people get so excited about something, but at the same time I don't understand why people are so captivated by this particular book. I'm not anti-Twilight, but there was nothing particularly special about it. The writing was mediocre (he was dazzling, she was dazzled, he was still dazzling) and all the characters were idiotic... except Alice, she was pretty fly.

I guess I don't understand the glorified relationship between Bella and Edward. He bailed on her and she tried to kill herself. When he thought she was dead, he tried to kill himself too. Extreme codependency is not healthy in a relationship. Neither is attempted suicide ;). No thank you to mediocre Romeo and Juliet. Likewise, Edward often disregards what Bella says because clearly Edward knows best. And I understand that he's supposed to be ~overprotective~, but last I checked, being overly controlling was not a synonym for being overprotective. Bella begs for sex, Edward shoots her down without a discussion. One-way relationship. I see who wears the pants. Not only does Bella not wear pants, she also does not wear the shirt, the underwear, or even the socks. Bella sucks. Edward sucks.

I know people who have broken up with the S.Os because they weren't like Edward. Idgi. Maybe I like having a heard opinion in a relationship, or having independence. Thanks Jordan for not sucking.

That being said, I was a Jacob fan, despite his aggressive tendencies, because at least he was funny. Edward provides no amusement. Then Jacob went and sucked. Damn you Smeyer.

This all being said, I'm still seeing the movie eventually. It's going to be entertaining. RPattz had better be as awesome as I'm expecting.

Jordan just left. It's a horrible feeling. How can I possibly miss him already?

But I can't wait for December asdjadjaksd!!!
